Media Player Classic Home Cinema - обнародован очередной свежий медиа проигрыватель, база которого формировалась на движке популярного плеера Media Player Classic. Он не нуждается в дополнительных кодеках, программа охватывает в себе всё что нужно. Таким образом можно без затруднений воспроизводить мультимедийные файлы без прилаживания всякого рода дополнений. Выполняет поддержку текущих файлов, форматов и кодеков: WAV, WMA, MP3, OGG, SND, AU, AIF, AIFC, AIFF, MIDI, MPEG, MPG, MP2, VOB, AC3, DTS, ASX, M3U, PLS, WAX, ASF, WM, WMA, WMV, AVI, CDA, JPEG, JPG, GIF, PNG, BMP, D2V, MP4, SWF, MOV, QT, FLV.

MPC Home Cinema разрабатывается, в основном, для того что бы смотреть кинофильмы на компьютере. Поддерживает весь перечень возможностей работы с DVD дисками, декодирует формат H.264 (этот формат предназначается для работы с видео файлами высокого разрешения). Текущая функция действует только на видеокартах с поддержкой аппаратной обработки кодека H.264. Кроме того, Media Player Classic Home Cinema поддерживает работу с форматами QuickTime и RealVideo, может работать на компьютерах с двумя мониторами, поддерживает различные форматы субтитров. Управление проигрывателем может осуществляться непосредственно из интерфейса или с помощью горячих клавиш, что очень удобно при полноэкранном просмотре фильмов. В плеере можно применять нормализацию звука, настраивать цветность, яркость и контрастность изображения, масштабировать картинку и многое другое.
